What is included in the price for Certified Scrum Master class?
The price (all price levels) includes course materials, access to take the Scrum Alliance ScrumMaster® exam, and 2-year membership with the Scrum Alliance.
In addition, we will also have practice tests available which help you prepare for the test or just assess your knowledge level.
How do I prepare for Certified Scrum Master (CSM® ) class?
We suggest our attendees have a basic understanding of the Scrum Framework by reading the Scrum Guide before coming to the class. This will ensure that all attendees have the same understanding of the basics of Scrum. Moreover, this will enable us to spend time on more advanced topics in the class.
What is required to achieve the CSM certification?
To earn your CSM certificate, you must attend a live online or in-person, CSM workshop for 14 to 16 hours facilitated by a Certified Scrum Trainer® (CST®) and demonstrate your learning through our online CSM test. After successfully completing the course, you will need to take the 50 question CSM test at the Scrum Alliance website and answer 37 out of the 50 questions correctly within the 60 minute time limit.
Do I take the CSM® test during the class?
We consider that the time we get to spend together and other participants of the class as very valuable time where we can discuss all things about Agile and Scrum. Spending an hour to take the test seem to be a waste of time considering that we could be spending that time helping you become a better practitioner. The guidance from Scrum Alliance suggests that students must complete the test independently even though they are allowed to access Scrum Guide or other resources. For these reasons, we do not conduct the test during the class.
Before you leave the class, we will ensure that you are registered on Scrum Alliance and that you have access to the link to take the test at Scrum Alliance website.
You can take the test online from where you have an internet connection. The link to take the test usually active right at the end of teh class. You will have 90 days to take the test.
Do I have to pay an additional fee for taking the test?
No. The fee for taking the test is included with your registration fee.
What if I fail the test?
In the event that you need to take the test for a second time, the fee for the second attempt is included with your registration. For additional attempts (after the first two), a fee will be assessed. However, if you find yourself in the position of needing to take the exam a third time, we encourage you to contact us so we can help you better prepare. Although we cannot answer test questions for you, we will be happy to help you identify and improve upon areas in which you lack knowledge. And we'll even pay your additional exam fee.
How do I claim PDU towards my PMP® or PMI-ACP®?
If you hold a certifications such as PMP®, PMI-ACP®, PgMP®, PMI-SP®, or PMI-RMP®, you may earn Professional Development Units (PDUs).
